Shortly after having founded Eastern Tennessee Preppers, which is a 1300+ member Meetup group based on preparedness education and networking, I began receiving requests to help them find property in the area for their retreat locations. Others were just about to retire and looking for that perfect piece of land to enjoy nature and get away from the hustle and bustle of big city life, while yet others wanted to get into farming like their parents or Grandparents did years ago. Having been through the whole process myself years before I knew what they were feeling and going through. I found myself in the unique position of being able to help them out as I had spent years researching where to move, what to look for in land and acreage, as well as the hidden costs and timeframes involved.
