I'm a Florida native and have spent the last 30 years in Alachua County. I have a diverse background as Polish and Spanish linguist in the US Army and have spent many years in real estate, spanning mortgage lending to real estate investment. I have a BA in Spanish Literature from the University of Michigan and a MEd in Art from the University of Florida. My husband, who is a physician, and I spent two years with the Peace Corps in Ecuador and lived in Chicago before making our move to Florida in the early 1970's. We have four grown children and 12 grandchildren. I am a past-President of our Public TV Station, WUFT-TV, and our Public Radio Station, WUFT-FM: a past-President of the Gainesville Fine Arts Association; the Alachua County Medical Alliance; the Gainesville Women's Forum and the Florida Museum of Natural History . I am a Docent at the Harn Museum of Art and a Board Member at our Performing Arts Center.
