Marie Merkley comes to the Real Estate profession from a culturally rich and diverse background. She was born and raised in the metropolis of Berlin, Germany, and extensively traveled before settling in Oregon. She first came to the U.S. as an exchange student at the age of 16, to satisfy her early desire for personal growth, novelty, and adventure. Formerly an assistant horse-trainer at Lodi, California's “Sargent Equestrian Center”, specializing in problem-horses, she continued to practice her love for starting and training Draft horses at “Seventh Heaven Shires” in Keno,OR, before marrying her husband Michael Merkley in 2016. The two are raising their two children Liam (9) and Mila (6) in a ranch-setting in Bonanza, OR. There, his family's long history of raising cattle and breeding quality ranch horses, continues to inspire her love for great horses and an authentic lifestyle.

I was raised in Klamath Falls and have 7 generations of family that have lived here. I am married 31 years with a son and a daughter both married and I have one grand daughter. We own a small hobby farm with 2 horses, a hand full of cows, a few pigs, chickens, ducks and we have had a couple sheep. I love to camp, fish, hunt, hike and explore different places all around our great country. I have been a contractor I a past life and I am very familiar with building practices. I started my real estate career in 2001 with Coldwell Banker Holman Premier Realty. Not many people get to choose where they want to live, but I did! I moved to Klamath Falls in 2002 from Upstate New York after months of research to decide where we wanted to live. In New York, I was the Executive Director of a statewide professional association where I helped our more than 4,000 members maintain their licensing requirements, and obtain their educational and career goals. After moving to Klamath Falls, I was a real estate assistant for 2 years prior to obtaining my license.
