Akbar owned and managed his own RE/MAX franchise, with multiple branches throughout the GTA. As an agent, Akbar has won numerous awards, including the TOP 10 agent in Canada, and in 2004 he was honored with receiving the award for TOP 75 Worldwide. In 2010 Akbar started Kingsway Real Estate Brokerage with only 8 agents.
