Born in Pasquotank County in 1961, my first home was on Meadstown Road. I grew up helping my father who was a local developer and builder.
My husband is a retired builder and currently we have several farms in Weeksville and grow wheat, corn & soybeans.

She is a former Trustee for Elizabeth City State University and was honored with the Chancellor’s Legacy Award in 2019, Board member for the local Habitat for Humanity, severs on the Truist Advisory Board, has served as moderator for her church "First Christian Church Disciples of Christ" and President of the Albemarle Area Association of REALTORS 2004 & 2018. Norma was Realtor of The Year in 2004, 2005, & 2007. She earned the Reader's Choice Award in 2002, 2013 and 2019. In 2014 Norma was nominee as a finalist for the 2014 Women of Excellence award in recognition of her dedication to the community and won that award in 2019.
