I grew up in West Virginia and first fell in love with Western North Carolina after coming to the area for college. I received my bachelor's degree from Western Carolina University and my master's degree from NC State University in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management. Over the past two decades, I have raised three daughters and developed a strong love of the Asheville area and all its opportunities. After years of service to local government as the Parks and Recreation Director for the Town of Black Mountain, I bring strong community connections and an ability to navigate challenges to get the job done.
