Born and raised in Chicago, Dawn grew up listening to her father structure commercial real estate deals yet, at the time, her heart was focused on being an athlete. As a highly accomplished figure skater and Gold level ice dancer, she transferred those skills to become a PSIA Certified Ski Instructor at the age of 19 while still in college at Miami of Ohio.
