Extremely disappointing experience with Jumana as our landlord. Over the course of nearly three years, we encountered behaviors that we found to be dishonest, unethical, and neglectful. Upon moving out, she withheld a significant portion of our deposit to cover property upgrades and unpaid HOA fees that were owner related fees as well as wear and tear related deductions that should not be the tenant’s responsibility, especially after long-term occupancy. This was in addition to an upfront, nonrefundable $800 fee collected at the start of the lease for cleaning and wear and tear, which did not appear to be used towards anything or as intended. Legal action is currently underway. Based on our experience, I would strongly discourage anyone from renting from her and she should not be allowed to be a landlord.
