Armed with a background in systems engineering, my career started at a mine owned by Arizona-based Freeport-McMoRan. As a systems architect, I was instrumental in shaping business systems across Peru, Chile, and US. While assigned to Chile, I met my husband (a native Arizonan). Our four daughters were born while living in Scottsdale, and we later settled in the East Valley.
