I was single with no children & knew nothing about purchasing a home, but I saw one in the Germantown section of Philadelphia that was beautiful. It was 1988 & I was 23 years old when I walked into Neil Kugelman's office at Elfant Wissahickon. Although the email house I saw was already under contract, it didn't stop Neil from finding another just like it on a great block. 17 years later, I was ready to do it all over again! The house I wanted appeared online on a Thursday, there were 5 offers by Monday. Neil had me pre-approved & ready to go. I am writing this review from my new bedroom! Neil is caring, honest & hard-working. He stays relaxed even when the client may be a ball of nerves! I had come across some overly-eagered realtors, but Neil, he will never do anything under-handed or pull any tricks out of the bag; He is forthcoming with all truths & details to protect you, the client. Neil is fantastic! Thanks Neil for responding, your hard work, trustworthiness & dedication.
We have worked with Neil in the purchase of our current and previous home--and in the sale of our two previous homes. There is no one more knowledgeable about the Germantown-Mt Airy-Chestnut Hill region of Philadelphia--and beyond. He is networked with a wide variety of excellent contractors and is always ready with savvy advice and good referrals for whatever work is needed to make a property market-ready (or more home-y)! His personal integrity is impeccable, and while there's no question that he loves his job and the "games" involved in real estate negotiations, he doesn't play when it comes to offering his clients strategic ideas for securing the best offer, whether buying or selling
I wanted to relocate and my friend told me about this wonderful Real Estate man who had helped him with his new purchase. When I met Neil I immediately liked him. He was warm, friendly and very easy to talk to. He listened to what I wanted and why. We then had a discussion about the pros and cons of what was available both in terms of cost and where I wanted to live. Neil helped me wade through all the information that I had no idea I needed to know. Throughout he was there to hold my hand when needed. Tell me why I shouldn't be looking at certain properties etc. The experience was more like a friend helping me find my dream home than a realtor. In the end he made it happen for me. I was happy with my purchase and I'm happy with it today. I still reach out to Neil when I have a question about properties. I'm no longer a customer but he still takes the time to help me. You cannot go wrong working with Neil no matter what your realty needs may be. I give him my highest endorsement
Neil is pretty much everything I ever wanted in a realtor, all of the above and more. I was especially impressed with his extensive list of contacts for getting things done. This includes contractors, handymen, inspectors, and advise-givers in every possible area of expertise. It's amazing how many good people he knows! By settlement date I had an excellent team hand-picked by Neil. More than anything, I think Neil has a level integrity rarely seen in the real estate business. Calm under pressure, fair-minded and tough, at every juncture he gave the highest quality service. I was downsizing, buying a modest little fixer-upper, but Neil treated me like I was buying a million dollar mansion.
My wife and I have had the pleasure of working with Neil on the sale to 2 homes and have always found Neil to be extremely professional, personal and focused to getting our deal done. Neil has a wealth of knowledge and experience that would be an asset to anyone looking to sell and/or purchase home. Thank you.
Neil was recommended to me and my wife by an acquaintance who undersold what a gem he was/is! We had VERY tight requirements and an even tighter budget, but that didn't faze him -- he saw it as an exciting challenge to serve us and NOT a burden as two previous realtors we ditched before finding Neil had intimated. In fact, he found us a home that has been great for us, negotiated a price we could pay, and he made things as right as possible when the settlement initially fell apart due to an unscrupulous seller. I could not think of using anyone else for my real state needs. We have kept in touch & I ask his advice occasionally on many matters, both financial/realty related and otherwise! You will not only find a top-notch realtor who will doggedly represent your needs/actualize your goals in Neil but you will appreciate his company during the most stressful personal transitionary time (besides a serious illness, birth, or death.) I guess, you'd call Neil your "domicile doctor!"
